TECHnically a competition

President Joe Biden signed an executive order to limit big corporations such as tech companies from monopolizing industries. His idea is to promote competition so that few companies don't own the majority of an industry. This competition may also lead to innovation and better prices for consumers. This is something to keep an eye on as we do like tech companies!

Race for 1st place in space

Richard Branson has been gearing up to be the first billionaire in space, set to launch this Sunday, July 11th 2021. This beats Jeff Bezos' launch date. This milestone opens up many possibilities and opportunities for the future. Perhaps Amazon will ship us to space, same day delivery.

Not that Delta, the other Delta

The "Delta variant" of the Covid-19 virus has been on the radar. Pfizer and BioNTech announced that they are developing a booster vaccine to combat the new variant. We saw what Covid-19 did to the market in 2020 and therefore it is something to watch out for. Please refer to the CDC for accurate information and current guidelines.

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc (GS) 5-year chart (Yahoo Finance)

We can see that GS was trending neutral for quite sometime until a jump on October 1st 2020. Their annual top-line revenue continues to increase and they've had 3 previous beats. When we invest in long-term holds, we typically like to see a consistent upwards trend. A neutral market for years doesn't seem too attractive, but it looks like it recently picked up some steam. Not bad GS, but we've seen better charts. Want to see how we can still make money during a neutral market and then capitalize during bull markets? Who Competes with GS?

A few of GS's competitors include The Charles Schwab Corporation (SCHW), Morgan Stanley (MS), and Lpl Financial Hld (LPLA).
